Advanced HMI version 3.99a rslogix 500 interface problem on windows 8.1

Hi, I am new to rslogix and HMI.
Please advice.

I followed the video on line to set up exactly via DF1com driver but all I get is no data returned. I tried both com0com virtual port interface, and the 14 days free trail HHD virtual ports software.
here is the debugging output message that I get from the HMI debug window.
"A first chance exception of type
'MfgControl.AdvancedHMI.Drivers.Common.PLCDriverException' occurred in AdvancedHMIDrivers.dll"

I read some 1 suggested to run with 3.98t version.  I search but there is only one version that is the newest version available for downloading.
Where can I download Advanced HMI version 3.98t?

I am using Allen Bradley Rslogic Lite, the free download.
Newbie in this field...this forum helps alot...
OK, I will try to download the 3.87t version and try out...
Hope to get it to communicate.
64 bits is the problem?

Be sure you have RSLinx completely shut down, otherwise the DF1Com driver cannot get access to the COM port.

Yes, I did shut down the RSLinx, but its still having the same problem.  I also notice that when I started the advancedHMI, on the output section, there is no such text as :
"VMware Virtual Debugger loaded successfully" as in the video below.(13.54 min)

I have never used the emulator, so I am not able to offer much help. Did you check the PDF file on using RSEmulate that is in the Documents folder of the AdvancedHMI project? You may want to try to contact the creator of that video to see if they have any advice or try to reach the forum user Godra, I think he has successfully used the emulator.

well,
I am using the emulator, if rslinx is shut down, the RSMicro and the emulator 500 is completely not link, so how does the Advanced HMI link to the RsMicro?

Stuck for a week on this issue...
