Is there an EthernetIP driver that supports Implicit messaging in AHMI?

It would be interesting to see the Automation Direct P2-550 PLC or any of the Productivity Series PLC’s.
We are using them for our machines along with the Advanced HMI 10” TouchPanel.

I am now getting an Error from the “SerialDF1overTcpforSLCMicroCom” driver that locks up the panel.

The L400025 worked for the int but I am having trouble with strings I have tried 400023@S16, 400023@S, S400023, nothing seems to work.

Archie, I was using 400025@L and when I changed to L400025 it works fine. Out of 12 app's this is the first time I have seen that error. Thanks for the help. Your support is the best I have seen.

Support Questions / Slave Device Busy Error
« on: February 15, 2019, 12:50:06 PM »
I am using a 10 inch AHMI touch panel PC connecting to a P2-550 PLC with The modbusTCP driver.
The panel Software is ver 3.99X .  So far I have 3 basicbuttons that address the modbus fine and work. When I tried to use a Basiclabel to write to the PLC “400025” a 32 bit Integer I get “Slave Device Busy”?
I tried an Analogvaluedisplay with same error. I tried different integers always the same Slave Device Busy error.
I have 10 AHMI App running on our server and 1 other 10 inch panel running with no trouble.

Archie, I down loaded the USR-VCOM and it works very well. I now have RS Logix500 running and AHMI app at the same time. Both are a bit slower but no conflicts. I won't have Logix500 running except to troubleshoot. Still waiting on MOXA's support. Will likely send the MOXA back. The USR is much nicer to set up.

Thanks

Archie  I bought the USR-TCP232-302 and It got here this morning. It works well with AHMI. I was trying to get the ability to use the Logix 500 over the same connection. I have a ticket in with MOXA. All their support is email first. I will post after I find out if there is a fix.
Thanks for your time

Support Questions / Allen Bradley SLC 503 to AHMI
« on: February 08, 2019, 09:08:21 AM »
I am trying to connect to an AB SLC 503 using a MOXA EIP3270 module. I tried using the SerialDF1overTcpforSLCMicroCom and the EthernetIPforSLCMicroCom drivers.
I am trying to extend the distance for the connection. I am able to use the serial driver using RS232 a cable, but would like to use Ethernet to get more distance.
Has anyone used the MOXA EIP3270 module with AHMI before?

Support Questions / Re: AB Analog output
« on: January 15, 2019, 06:33:11 AM »
I believe this is speed profiling. The step timers are to change the speed or value of the output for some process.
Not knowing what the output controls I can't say why it would be needed, I would look for the step bits output coil and see what is causing the flicker. You could graph the O:2.0 and maybe see the steps. The flicker may be on purpose. There are many reasons to vary an analog output, IE: fill valves, conveyor speed, Mixer motors, for a few. If you could graph the output it might give you an understanding of the process.

Do you have an off line copy of the ladder that you can look at? If so there should  be at tag that is being used by the PLC in the conversion you need for the meter.
