How can I go back to the new layout?
The steps are in this thread! Go up and read.
I am on the old layout and want to go to the new. There is no layout in the old layout profile screen.

Spot on guys, works a treat..... cheers...

and by the way Archie, thanks for the great bit of software...now hopefully i can convince the AB loving PLC tech at work that this software is easier to use and build with, and as good as if not better than the applications we are using now.....

thanks again
Matt

Madmax,   I am one of the old AB guys and have been looking for years to find a better way. I think Archie's drivers are the best. I have convinced my company away from AB's high cost. Check out AutomationDirect's Productivity series PLC's they are more powerful then the AB and only a fraction of the cost. The software is free and the support is better. I have two of Archie's 10 inch panels both are talking to 2 PLC one AB and one  P2-250. All are working very well and with the AdvancedHMI software I can scan a barcode pass it to the Database and get a valid or invalid with in 1 sec. Lot of people on here to help with anything. Better support than AB. Good Luck.

Support Questions / Re: Run solution from network drive.

I have 6 apps now running on a windows server, they are small but validate serial numbers from our production lines with our SQL database and then record the production data back to the database. We have not had a problem.

Support Questions / ModbusTCP driver errors
« on: October 22, 2018, 02:18:49 PM »
I am using AdvancedHMI apps to connect to 7 different PLC’s and a SQL Database one app per PLC. I am using the modbusTCP driver. If a PLC is turned off We get the error ”No Response from PLC” error about every 2 sec. Is there a way to limit the number of error boxes we get or stop them, It fills the screen in short order? The apps run on a server that is not monitored by people. Their purpose is to validate serial numbers for production and collect data for the database.

Tips & Tricks / Re: Mass property changes
« on: October 17, 2018, 06:25:05 AM »
Something I recently noticed...
If you select multiple objects, for example basic button, then change a property, for example back color, it will change this property for all items selected.  I was hoping it would do this, but wasn't sure until I tried.  So, if you are looking for a way to quickly change multiple objects quickly, this may be something for you.  If this is common knowledge, sorry to duplicate, but thought it may be helpful to others.

FYI, I'm using VS2017.

James

Thanks James, I have been doing it the hard way. This will speed things up. Thanks again.

Yes very just followed the example. Just have to remember the address offset AB 0-49 P2 1-50. Works well.

Archie,  I have a (5069-L306ER) talking Ethernet/IP to a (P2_-550) Using the example in the P2-550 help file section “Ethernet/IP for the Productivity Series” Set the Ethernet/IP Adapter in the P2 just like the example. Added a Generic Ethernet Module in the AB PLC  data type as INT.  50 elements.  AB 0-49 – P2 1-50.  AB writes to output block and reads input block ,  P2 write to  input block and reads output block. Thanks

The doc’s that came with the panel did not mention having to install the driver. Works fine now. Thanks again for the great support.
