Title: AdvancedHMI and Siemens S7-1212 PLC
Post by: Spin-It on March 12, 2018, 02:26:19 PM
Hi All.
I am very much new to the scene of PLC programming and I am attempting to use the AdvancedHMI programme to talk to a Siemens S7-1212 plc that I have.
I am struggling to set up communications.
Any suggestions?

Are you using the Modbus driver or trying to do a OPC driver like this:

Hi Archie.
As I said, I am very new to the whole PLC scene. I have looked at the youtube video you have recommended but I cant understand it as I only speak English.
I have been trying to setup the "ModbusTcpCom1" driver. Where will I find the settings for Pollrateoverride, TCPIP Port e.t.c?
If I get the handshake to work - how do I address the Tags that I setup n the S7-1212?

I'm not a Siemens expert, so I won't be able to offer any help on the PLC side. Once you add the driver for the protocol you will use, in the Properties window you can set the communication parameters
