Godra,

Thanks for the reply. I haven't tried playing with any code up till now. I thought if I doubleclicked the Basicdatalogger, that would pop up. But, I don't see it. Where am I looking for this?
Thanks

Support Questions / Trend files end in .log
« on: May 08, 2018, 08:45:44 AM »
So for some reason. This one setup (v3.99y Beta 7) creates filename.csv.log (My part I setup to have filename.csv). why is it appending .log on the end. I have others I been playing with now for a while. They all take the filename.csv that I set them up for.
Thanks

Archie, I'll show it in design view. But, GM21, GM31 are OK. They are part of my screen. it is the ``2222222222222222`````` etc. Godra, I'll check it 1st thing in the morning.

My appreciation for the program & all the hard work keeping it up and all the people that take the time to get us new people going.
Thanks

Support Questions / Characters where they don't belong

I was carry this laptop from my office. Everything has been running great just would like to get rid of the characters. See attachment. They are above the screen part. Rebooting doesn't do anything.
Thanks

Support Questions / Re: pilotlight2 setup
« on: August 14, 2017, 11:50:20 AM »
Thanks for the reply. This is what I just did and it works. I'm using the Basic Indicator, I have 1 with the Red Color & I have 1 with the Green color, then put them on top of each other. This will work. Better yet, would be a flashing yellow to indicate the valve isn't open nor is it closed (In between states). So how do I say Not_Opened=0 & Not Closed=0 as the tag. I'm trying not to modify the PLC program. So,

Not_Opened && Not_Closed as the tag name.
Thanks

Support Questions / pilotlight2 setup
« on: August 09, 2017, 05:44:30 AM »
I'm trying to get the following:
green light when valve open - text to say Steam Valve Open
When closed -                        text to say Steam Valve Closed
Right now, when not True, Text shows up. When True, Green light comes on and text say true. Missing something.

Thanks

Archie,
This is exactly what I want to do. Right now I over write the previous one. What doo you mean by Complete solution? Is this a folder?
Thanks

I got it working. I finally copied one of the ones that was working, then pasted it. It created a new one BasicDataLogger12. But I tried double clicking them to see if they showed a difference, but they look the same.
Thanks

I have 2 laptops - 2 different systems running. 1 I can show a light on the screen and I can trend that bit. Different Compact logix, I can show the light, but won't trend. CSV file shows the date/time column, but not another column showing true/false. I just convert all False to 0 (zero), and all Trues to 1. I can then trend them.
Thanks

Thanks for both of your responses. I created a copy, put it in a new folder. Then Opened up the new folder. So, tomorrow I hope to edit it as a new project.
Thanks

Really like this program. Just started to use this and have a question about moving saving a project. Can someone explain how they copy/move/save a project? I got one going and used it for troubleshooting. Then when I needed to look at another issue, I ended up modifying the 1st one. I would really like to keep them. Since I just started, I'm not sure of all the menus/ buttons yet.
Thanks
George
