Hi Archie ,

Just tried V398t on a win8.1 tablet . The new driver recovery works like a charm . Walked out of range then back and the screens comms resumed without error messages . tried the same with power saving mode and , on resume , the display continued as if nothing had happened . Very impressive ! Well done .

What I've been doing is extracting the new version , building it , right clicking on the 1st item in the solution explorer and renaming it in the properties window . Rebuild again the save in a base folder .
From there I can copy it to various project folders , as required  , and add the AdvancedHMI folder from older version projects . The big advantage for me is that , when I open VB , the list of recent projects gives the different names instead of AdvancedHMIv35 for every entry .

Hi Archie ,

With all the revisions coming through , I've been having problems keeping up with where all the various screens I've been experimenting with are . I've started renaming the solution to , for
example , AHMIv398sMonitorV3 . I notice I now have 2 .suo files . It has belatedly occurred to me that there may be other side effects to doing this . Am I OK to keep on renaming , or will it cause other problems down the line ?

I'm a bit embarassed I didn't notice this before . I built a screen last year with a basic label for the date . The data is sent over as part of a double integer array from compact logix . The word contents for today was 17062015 . I've set the numeric format to 00:00:0000 . When the project runs , the display reads 17:06:2016  . I checked the PLC 1st - OK . Added a basic label with no changes and 17062015 displayed . I'm not a VB guru , so I wondered if the formatting is incorrect . For the moment I've added a second basic label without formatting and put it to the back , offset , with just the year showing and shortened the original  label to display the day and month only .

Started with a fresh copy of V398n , Built it as is with no changes , and deployed on a WinXP  PC . Your Advanced HMI logo showed OK . Deployed it on the Win 8.1 Tablet and no logo , just the text in the bottom left hand corner . Help ! (This is the 1st time I've used 8.1 , so I'm probably doing something wrong .

I recently aquired a tablet with windows 8.1 and deployed a project ( V398n ) on it . The project itself worked great - it was for an AB L32E over ethernet . All the buttons , basic labels messages all worked just fine . Thanks Archie !
Unfortunately , the background images did not display . Even the AHMI logo on the Main form (Top left ) did not display ( I'm so pleased with AHMI that I put the Logo on every form I develope ) . Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong . ( These images all display when the project is deployed on a  Win XP PC ) .

If you're from the UK , Sainsbury's doing a 10" called the Linx10 for £149 with 8.1 , 32Gb . I've got an AHMI project running on it now .

Darrel - I've had a similar problem with the display flashing with  3.98g and clx . I put it down to incompatability with vb2010 . Are you on 2010 ?
