CREATE YOUR OWN GIF IMAGE AND ASSIGN TO AHMI GifAnimator
« on: December 01, 2019, 09:08:35 PM »
it might be useful for beginners. this is how i make my own gift image:
1. I design my image by using AutoCAD so that i have consistent dimension. For example i need to design a Fan/propeller.
2. In AutoCAD, i will create 3 or more frames with the same basic dimensions. (with different rotation angle of the fan blade) see first attachment. I then assign color to the file. cut and paste them on Microsoft Paint and save them as jpeg or png.
3. then, split the image to individual files (you can also leave it as a single file also because you can still edit it as individual file in software in the next step).
4. Open the png maker software and open your created jpeg or png. I use this one: https://pixlr.com/
you can find the tutorial on how to create the png using pixlr on youtube
save the completed png image (with transparent background) as png.
5. create your gif image using this: https://ezgif.com/maker
you can set the speed of your gif image.
6. upload your image to the AHMI gifanimator tool.

An easier approach is to create GIF from static, here's one:

Creating a gif it's not a hard task, but the thing is that you should create the best one, and this is not easy. I would prefer a 3D one; for this, you need to work with the right tools. For example, I work with the software made by forgehub.net that allows me to make high-quality gifs for free. 3D tools are great for creating GIF images because they allow you to control the frame rate and resolution. This makes creating high-quality GIFs that look great on any device easy. It took me 10 minutes to create one.

A little bit of self-promotion but relevant to this topic - currently most of my online 3D Model viewers have Animated GIF export.
Since the exported file could get large then you would use https://ezgif.com to manipulate the file to reduce the size and apply other modifications:

You can see example GIFs in the repository itself:
