As for the fan control that has both CW and CCW direction, you could try using the attached control.

The direction is controlled with PLCAddressDirection and the fan is turned on/off with the PLCAddressValue.
See the description attached to these properties.

Is it possible to change the colour of the fan from green to red, I would like to indicate if the fan has a fault.

The simple answer is No (this is a built-in control which I don't have access to).

If you do have a bit that indicates the fault then put a red LED control above the fan and point the address to that bit.

You can use a graphic indicator and load your own images.  If you have access to symbol factory you can save different images with different colors.  FTView ME has symbol factory.  I had a control somewhere that had more than a few states, but I can't find it.
