Hello to all
I'm trying to connect to the Omron CJ1M PLC by serial with FINS commands.
From the PLC sending 10 channels D0100 to D0109 all with "FFFF"
On HMI I set OmronSerialFINSCom1 driver on com1 115200,7, E, 2 (same on plc) or tried also 9600,7,E, 2.
In digitalPanelMetr objects I set to PLCAddressValue D100 or 100 or 1
But I do not receive anything.
What value should I set in this field?
The com1 serial is active and verified with port sniffer
Thank you

Here is the method I use
- Using CX-Programmer, use Auto-Online to find the correct settings.
- Completely exit CX-Programmer to allow AdvancedHMI to gain access to the serial port
- In the driver properties, enter the parameters that were discovered by CX-Programmer
-
Thanks for the reply, I read this http://advancedhmi.com/forum/index.php?topic=959.msg5000#msg5000
Do I have to make the same fix or have the driver been fixed?
-
Are you using version 3.99w ? If so, those fixes are already done.
-
Like the 3.99
How do i set TreadDataAsHEX ?
end the Target Network Address , node address , unit address on comunication setting Omron Serial FINS Are the addresses that AHMI uses to answer or read?
With the PLC I transmit to Network destination 1 Node 2 and Unit 0

What do you mean when you say you transmit with the PLC?
-
I send words from plc to visualize them on AHMI as the voltmeter.
This to start checking out communication, after being sure of this I will start developing my project
-
The driver reads from the PLC, it is not necessary to have the PLC transmit. It will actually cause problems.
-
Are you sure ? You have experience of non omron serial FINS, from what I read in the manual you need to have send and receive commands
-
I've done quite a few projects using different Omron PLCs an I never had to program anything in the PLC. Just 2 weeks ago I did an application talking to a CS1 using FINS over Ethernet.
-
Ok thanks, i start to try but i am with serial connection.
I think it should not change much.
Regarding the network and node to set up?
-
Are you bridging across multiple networks? If not, those settings should remain at default
-
I'm connected directli with a serial cable between plc and pc, with this configuration:
PC side PLC side
2----------------------2
3----------------------3
7--- ---4
I I
8--- ---5
5----------------------9
-
AdvancedHMI will use the same cable that works with CX Programmer. Does your cable work with it?
-
I still have no connection.
But as soon as I turn on the PC without starting any program I see the communication led, 1 flash per second, on the plc flash.
Connected osilloscope, I saw a signal coming from PC from com1

This sounds like something else is using the COM port which would not let AdvancedHMI get access to it.

I do not have other PCs with native serial port,
If I buy a usb-serial adapter to work?
It's strange this signal coming out of the com1 without any software started.
Or is it caused by jumpers 7-8 or 4-6 on com1?
On the AHMI panel I can set COM 12, the driver works for com ports?
-
Wowow, RESOLVED.
I found a service that occupied the com, an old SCADA software installed for trial.
I'm already reading the data on the Voltmeters.
Thanks for the support
