Support Questions / Quick Start Digital Meter
« on: May 11, 2016, 12:59:00 AM »
I know I have had this working several versions ago but now I'm stumped.

I am running VS 2013, AHMI 399e, RSLogix 500 and RSLinx 2.58 Release 4.
My choices under RSWho are:
00, Workstation,DF1-COM1
or
01,Micrologix1000,ML1000

AHMI is configured as in Archie's video. And RS is configured as in the same video.

See the attached images.

I have tried with and without running RSLinx, but to no avail

Any help or instructions/corrections will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Support Questions / Purchased Controls add errors
« on: May 08, 2016, 02:21:50 AM »
I just removed VS 2015 and installed VS 2013 Pro.
When I try and add my purchased controls, I get the following errors:

Error   1   'CommComponent' is not a member of 'AdvancedHMIControls.SubscriptionHandler'.   C:\_____VS 2013 AHMI\AdvancedHMIControls\PurchasedControls\DigitalPanelMeterBlue.vb   170   17   AdvancedHMIControls
Error   2   'CommComponent' is not a member of 'AdvancedHMIControls.SubscriptionHandler'.   C:\_____VS 2013 AHMI\AdvancedHMIControls\PurchasedControls\LinearMeterHoriz.vb   230   17   AdvancedHMIControls
Error   3   'CommComponent' is not a member of 'AdvancedHMIControls.SubscriptionHandler'.   C:\_____VS 2013 AHMI\AdvancedHMIControls\PurchasedControls\LinearMeterVert.vb   236   17   AdvancedHMIControls
Error   4   'CommComponent' is not a member of 'AdvancedHMIControls.SubscriptionHandler'.   C:\_____VS 2013 AHMI\AdvancedHMIControls\PurchasedControls\NumericSevenSegment.vb   170   17   AdvancedHMIControls

I get these error for each pack I have purchased.
Are these expansion packs not compatible with VS 2013 PRO?

Thanks

Support Questions / Visual Studio 2015 or AHMI 399d Problem ?
« on: April 07, 2016, 05:35:46 PM »
Hi,
Not sure wherein the problem lies.
I keep getting this error message: See the attached.

Also, I'm getting the error message that:
"cannot find the .pdb file.
and lastly, after I have all the required .DLL's in the correct directory I get the "cannot find the "...library"
When I go to the folder they have been deleted.

A nasty virus?
Bad setup?
Please point me in the right direction and your thoughts.
I've run Nortons but nothing shows up.
I've also deleted and reinstalled VS as well as use a clean AHMI .sln

Many thanks..

Support Questions / How to create a new AHMI solution
« on: April 05, 2016, 04:16:41 AM »
Hi all,
Please don't pelt me with rocks for the question:

I want to build several different AHMI apps.
I am stuck as how to save my current sln and then close it then open a new AHMI SLN (blank of course). I am using MS Visual 2015.
Is there a setting to "save as" the current SLN and then open a new SLN? In other words, how to save say AHMI 1 then create an AHMI 2.
I'm using AHMI 399d

I've been through the documentation and help files but found nothing.
I must be really missing something.
Any help or pointers to solve this issue will get you my first born
TIA

Support Questions / v3.99d Failed to get processor type - Line 429
« on: March 30, 2016, 04:37:09 AM »

Try this work around that bypasses the process of fetching the processor type

Sir Arthur & Members of the Court
Two issues:
  • I get the above error when I try and run the "MotorControlAppMicroLogix" listed in the documents section.
  • In the MOV instruction, same document, RUNG 0001, I enter the Destination address as shown(O:0.3), but get the error "Address must be specified to the word level"

I have followed the directions you gave me in a previous older post as listed below:

1) Under the AdvancedHMIDrivers project in Solution Explorer, open AllenBradletPCCC.vb
2) go to line 429
3) Insert the line of code "Return &H58" as shown below:
Code: [Select]

    Public Function GetProcessorType() As Integer
        Return &H58

        If m_ProcessorType <> 0 Then

When I follow the above instructions, that code doesn't exist. Am I not doing it right?

Would you please verify or explain the MOV issue I described?
TIA

Support Questions / Attached files downloads - how to?
« on: August 28, 2015, 11:14:02 PM »
Hi all,
I do make good use of the forums and have done so for a few years. Now I am stumped! When a post says see attached files, or download attached files, I see nowhere to download the files in the post. Did, or am I still waiting for a bus that has left.
How do I do it?
TIA
