Modbus TCP LLink layer fail and Error code 34
« on: March 23, 2021, 02:48:31 AM »
Hello,

first of all thankyou archie and team for developing this wonderful component. We are using Modbus tcp/ip to communicate with Delta PLC through Advanced HMI  for reading and wirting values to registers and coils  .  However out of random we are receiving two errors :
a) Modbus TCP LInk layer fail
b) Illegal data value ( Error code -34 )

Please help

Since this is "out of random", as you put it, then it has to be either hardware failure or software corruption.

I would suggest you double check your cabling and hardware.

Thank you for the response. We have checked this on multiple configurations . These errors may not appear for days together but sometimes out of the blue these errors pop up. They reset after we close the application and login again. One more error that pops up is " No response from PLC, Ensure driver settings are correct"

You should read your response carefully.

... These errors may not appear for days ...

Which can only mean that AdvancedHMI software is working properly.

... error that pops up is "No response from PLC ..."

Which should suggest intermittent either hardware or connectivity or software corruption issue.
