Looking for creative ideas
« on: January 09, 2019, 08:12:09 PM »
Im looking to tap the creative AHMI minds here. I have a 24in Armstrong touchscreen that is leftover from a job. I want to know what creative thing You would do with it. Some things I thought of was join it with a RPI and stream TV with Kodi or maybe embed it into a smart mirror. Let the ideas flow😄

When it comes to the Pi, I loves me some RetroPie.

Alright MrPike, I have a better one for ya. Contribute to FlightRadar24:

https://habr.com/en/post/440596/

I ordered one of these today:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009U7WZCA/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can also install a library that will decode the flight data in the terminal if you don't want to contribute to FlightRadar24.  Info is in the first link.

Thats is very interesting. I like the idea yet it is very scary to think all that data is available to the public. Cool idea. Thanks.

I have mine up and running, so does one of my coworkers.  We are testing different home made antennas to see what kind of range we can get.

I would be interested to know what you come up with for that. Antenna technology is a world of it's own and I know very little about it.  The more I study it,  the the more I learn I don't know. I have been working with some 433.mhz stuff try to get better range for some transmitters for remote control and data collection.
