Since win 10 insists on automatic updates how do you mitigate the issue of it re-booting without user intervention?

Good Morning Friends!

I have read all of the posts regarding tablets but in the world of technology things change rapidly so I would like to know what the prevailing thought is, or just "Opinions" as to a decent Tablet to use for an office environment to run ADVHMI on. I want enough memory, power, and SSD space contain and to run the entire application so I can do edits also.

I like HP products so I lean that way but I am not hard and head strong on them. Right now I am wanting something inexpensive.

Support Questions / Write Time to PLC

As you probably know the PLC 5 clock drifts a bit, Ours gains time and it has no way to directly communicate with an NTP server so. .. I am not a VB programmer so I wondered if ADVHMI has a way to read the PC Clock or poll a NTP server and write the value to the PLC, Of course it would take several writes for each word of the time and date.

Support Questions / Run solution from network drive.

This is probably a question for Archie,

I tried copying the ADHMI solution to our file server (NetWare 6.5) hoping I could run it from there but It would not run.
Is there a way to do it from a network drive?

Support Questions / Data Logging

I have what I think is a simple thing to implement and I have searched the forum but have not found detailed information on how to set up  logging.

For getting started, I have a couple Inputs I am monitoring that I want to keep a log of when the inputs go true and record the day and time to the second or at least the minute. ( later i want to log some values but I want to get the basics working first.)

I have started by creating a basic data logger and the text file was created, I set the plc address to a bit but no data is being recorded so I am sure I need to do more configuring.

Could someone point me to some clear instructions that are already out there somewhere for me to read on how to set this up? Is the basic logger what I want?,  or should I be using something else?

Support Questions / PLC 5/20 RIO Addresses

Good Afternoon,

Advanced HMI indicators configured to read I/O from a remote chassis do not work. I have to add bit addresses to be read so for every Remote I/O address I want to read, I have to add bit file address so when for example I want to monitor O:030/01, I have to put B3:1/2 in parallel with it and read that from ADHMI. I cannot read the remote I/o directly .
