Support Questions / Path Segment Error (Invalid Tag Name)

I created a new routine.  I added a JSR on Main page to link to the new routine.  Everything works In the new routine....program wise.  I then added a new Form to Advanced HMI.  I added the EitherNetIP communication driver.  When ever I link something from my new Form I get this error "Path Segment Error (Invalid Tag Name)"  I have checked spelling......copy paste exact name.....nothing works from the new routine on my new form page.  If I link to something from the Main routine from the new Form it works.

any ideas what might be causing this???

Does any body know how to increase the time that the trend shows?  I would like it to show the last two hours of time.  When I start my process and open the trend if it recorded for 2 hours that would work.

I ended up adding the tag's  to Chart.....Series as well as PLCAddresItems....set them up with the same settings and it's now working.

Thanks for all the help.  This should keep me busy for a while :0)

I can get one tag to work on a Trend at one time......I can't figure out how to get 3 tags to trend at the same time on one trend chart.  I am adding all 3 tags to the PLCAddressItems but only one will show up.

Any ideas?

I ended up deleting my original page2 and then creating a new page with a different name.  I then added the Communication module to it and now have input output coming from the page.......Thanks Phrog30 for the input......you pointed me in the right direction.

I thought page two ran off the same driver.......when I go to properties for the button and indicator they use the same driver as the main page.......I did try adding another driver for that page, still no luck.  Could my page format be wrong.  I used the default page 2 that the program comes with.  I created a button that will open page two.....then I want all my control on this page.

Hi guys,
I copied and past a button and indicator over to my page 2 from my main page.  They both work fine on my main page.  When I go to use the button it won't work.  It says loss communication.....any ideas why this doesn't work?

Hi guys,

I am trying to Trend SP, PV, and CV for tuning a PID.  I am having problems with my trend chart showing the data from the PLC.  I am communicating either net IP.  Do I have to make a data base file and link to it for the trending to work?  I can't find a complete article on how to set up a trend from the beginning to end.
Does any body have some good input for me or links on information on how to do this using either net IP?

I figured it out......I was using the Tag to enable the count 5 as my one shot......I created a new tag for the one shot and everything works......Thanks again.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.  I put a one shot in the rung and nothing happens.  If I remove the one shot it adds rapidly.  I named the one shot the same as the Bit I'm using to trigger the Add 5 rung.
I'll do some reading on use of the one shot.  I have used them before but I may be missing something.

Hi,
I have a PID operating a HLT in RSLogix 5000. 
I am able to get the PV value on the Temperature Controller graphics to update and the SP.
I would like to have the buttons on the Temperature Controller graphics increase the SP by 5 every time they are clicked  The up arrow increase and the down arrow decrease.
Does any body know how I would go about doing this?

Ok thanks for the reply.  Do you know of any other programming software that will as a substitute for RSlogix 5000.  This is for a home project and I can't afford RSlogix 5000.
