VS2015 and .NET framework 4.6
« on: September 08, 2015, 10:02:06 AM »
Since I am just starting new with ADHMI, I downloaded VS2015 community edition, I checked out its feature and I thinks it pretty powerful package, not much different from the Pro edition and it also come with .NET 4.6 , I started to use 4.6 instead. In the past I have used  .NET  4.5 and 4.5.2 , they are pretty stable as well.
Just wondering when you are moving to 4.6 :)

It will probably be a while before moving beyond .NET 4.0.  The current code of AdvancedHMI does not use any features beyond 4 and there are a number of users still using VS2010 and XP that will not work beyond .NET 4.0

Now that version 3 of AdvancedHMI has reached a feature rich and stable version, the next major version is in the planning stages. The next major version will probably move to all of the latest Microsoft technologies including Windows 10, XAML, Universal Apps or WPF.
