Ethernet/IP Connectivity
« on: May 29, 2015, 10:13:24 AM »
I would like to interface AdvancedHMI with an anybus communicator device via Ethernet/IP.

Can the Ethernet/IP driver for a Rockwell PLC be used for this purpose, or would a specific driver be required?

The Ethernet/IP drivers only support specific commands for the ControlLogix/CompactLogix/Micro800 PLCs. Unless your device supports the same commands, it will not work.

In terms of CIP, the read command is service code 0x4C using symbolic path segments (known as tag names)
