Title: New guy having issues getting started
Post by: dcripp on December 21, 2018, 03:36:04 AM
Just installed Studio 17 and downloaded Advanced HMI but am having an issue on trying to initiate my first build. Attachment is a screen shot of my errors. Hopefully someone can tell me what I did wrong. Thanks.

Scroll further down in Solution Explorer until you see the project AdvancedHMIDrivers. Then expand down all of the folders in that project, then show a screen shot of it.

It looks like you are missing some files that normally reside in the Support folder.

If you right-click the solution (top of the Solution Explorer) and choose "Rebuild Solution", can you post the screenshot of the "Output" window once it has completed rebuilding?

In Solution Explorer under references, it is showing there is a problem with the OPC files. Under the Support folder, expand down the OPC folder, then show what you have there. My guess is that you have an anti-virus software that deleted those files.

In Solution Explorer, Right click the AdvancedHMIDrivers project and select Properties
Then select the References tab.

In the list of references, you should see the 2 references that have a problem marked with an error flag and a message telling what the problem is.

Redownload the files and make sure your antivirus doesn't wipe them.
