Title: browse a dh485 connected plc thru ethernet connected one?
Post by: blueskies on November 06, 2013, 05:39:18 AM
For instance, I have a SLC rack on ethernet that has a DH-485 connection to another PLC on node 1.
And I was wondering if it is possible to setup a comm driver to talk to the PLC connected on node 1?
Thanks.

The Ethernet drivers do not yet support gateways, so I'm not sure if this is possible.

I have been able to do something similar with a DH+ network of SLC 5/04s. I used the DF1Com connected with RS232 and set the pass through bit in the PLC. I was then able to use the TargetNode of the driver to get to the other PLCs on the DH+.
