Title: Port forwarding
Post by: Gruber on April 21, 2014, 03:00:59 PM
Hello again ;p),
i am searching for the port to Access with the hmi on my pc from another internet-Location normaly for Servers and co i Need the ports in my router redirecting to the local pc.
Now i am searching for the port to redirecting it to the cx. I wrote the Internet-IP for the CX in the TwincatCom. But i dont know wich port HMI use and wich port the CX Need.
I remember local with wireshark the the Cx use a different Port as the HMI-PC.
Someone an idea? Or is it after all not possible?

Greetings

The port used by the TwinCATCom driver is a random available port assigned by Windows. The target port on the CX will always be 48818

Ok seems to be a Little bit complicated.

For those who want to do the same:

I fixed it by creating a VPN with hamachi. Put the IP of Hamachi in the HMI and it works...
