Can AAHMI talk to Siemen S7-200 PLC
« on: July 28, 2017, 09:25:12 AM »
Siemens S7-200 is a small PLC similar to AB Micrologix line,  use PPI protocol.
Their latest release Microwin v4 SP9 can be installed on win7- 64 bit.  The PC Access v1 SP6 which is an OPC server can support win 7 64 bit as well.

My question here is if AAHMI can talk to S7-200 directly without using OPC?

My understanding of computer is well below six Σ.
Unless what I say is logically defined in a PLC, everything else might be beyond my control.

Many versions ago there was an S7-200 driver, but only in the experimental phase. It never progressed beyond experimental, therefore did not survive some architectural changes and was removed.

Does the S7-200 support Modbus? I recall some mention of Modbus being used with Siemens PLCs.

This is my first time of using a Microwin program. I am getting a cable to go online with it.
it looks like Siemens stop supporting it, and replace with S1200. Does S1200 suport modbus?
